Breakaway Triathlon Leads the Way
SINGAPORE (May 1, 2021) — Breakaway Triathlon Club, in Singapore launched today their phygital program, combining both physical and digital training sessions made available for local and global athletes of all levels with the goal to support them with a sustainable training environment during the pandemic period and beyond. Their initiative is a first for the country and in the region.
The club now offers options for athletes to either train on-site or from remote locations, anywhere around the planet. All athletes will be supported by the professional coaching team made available through virtual platforms, data metrics and electronic application. Their relaunched operations are supported by Sport Singapore, Wattbike, TrainingPeaks and Zwift.
“This will allow us to continue to train at the highest levels and be able to adapt to multiple scenarios should the situation of the pandemic change with minimal disruptions,” said Bryce Chong, SEA Games Silver medallist, Youth Olympian and founding club member.
Breakaway Triathlon Club was founded in 2018 and had rose to become a key pipeline to developing national triathletes for Singapore.
